A Change In Plans

First off, I'm just going to get it out there, this is not another whiny, excuse-making post. Though I do talk about my lack of posting reviews, this has more of a "inspirational" feel.

Like I said, I'm not trying to make excuses, because honestly I find there really is no excuse. However, I have realized that sometime during me starting this blog, and started to attempt making reviews, I lost hold of the reason I started this blog. For the love of the books. No, I have not lost my love for books, I am still very much in love with them, even if I havent had as much time as I would have liked to devote to reading. The problem is I lost the fun of reviewing books. I always had so much fun spreading the word on good books, and annoying my friends and family with my constant updates, and everything else book.

But then, I started to feel so much pressure to deliver good reviews, and what not. When I take on a responsibilty, I take it seriously. I mean I have 4o Followers right now. And while that might not seem like a lot to some, thats more than I honestly ever expected I would get. I want to provide quality stuff, or as best as I can do, so atleast those 40 don't regret following.

So that is why I'm changing things up. I am altering my current style of reviewing books. While they might now be drastically longer, I know it helps capture the joy I have towards books. Plus, its set up in a prompt-like style. And for some reason, regardless of the size, I find it easier to write reviews using this new style now that I have laid out everything I want to talk about. I hope we will both be equally pleased with the new style. Also, I hope to never have to write another post like this, becasue it deeply saddens me to say some of those things.


One more thing. As much as I tried to be original as I possibly could, some other review styles on other blogs served as an inspiration. (I don't want to say "stole" because I'm sure that along with you, I hate things being too obviously a copy-cat of another blog)
So, I've decided to mention all the glorious blogs who's reviews possibly served as my inspiration, some more of than others... The Hiding Spot, Sarah's Random Musings, Book Reviews by Jess, Bloody Bookahalic, {Insert Book Title Here}, The Undercover Book Lover (Not Really), and I'm sure many others in part, I just didn't realize it.

So without futher adu, lets get on with the reviewing...

Waiting on....Blog Stuff?

Ahhhhh! I've been absolutely terrible at posting reviews and well basicly everything else! (Basicly they're non-existant)

My AP Homework has been eating away at my insides and my brains and I can't do anything that requires me to think, sadly not even review books! :(

But... I am almost done with my homework, but by then I'll have to start school and get back onto schedule

(by the way i highly recommend you to not wait until the last two and a half weeks of summer to finish the ginormous pile of homework that is due first week of school) Dang you Procrastination!

But... (this times it brings good news) once school starts I will definately start posting more reviews. I'm promising atleast 2-3 reviews per day, and all the fun book memes that goes with them, until I catch up with all the books read before started blog! Oh and I will start up a bunch of memes and challenges I've been wanting to do!

So basicly you are going to have to bear with me until school starts because AP homework sucks the life out of you!

But if you ever need to know anything about America/Europe up until about 1800, I can tell you more then you will ever need/ care to know! :)

So until the start of school...

First Things First

So I know I have not put any reviews, or well anything up lately, but I promise to have a lot of them up soon!
My stupid procastination has come and bit me in the butt and I have been doing that! (Also, I have this weird obsession of trying to watch every single VlogBrothers videos) :)
But rest assured I would much rather be doing this! And come the return of school, and as soon as i get my summer-homework done, I promisepromisepromise that I will keep updating this blog and all the wonders that come with it.

As I have yet to finish all my "recommendations", I am going to organize them a certain way before I move on to my glorious reviews! (Yay!)
And on to organization:

*Then all of my 4.5 star recommendations
* Next 4 star, 3.5 star, 3 star
(Side Note: These are all stand-alone novels)

Then...I will move on to all of my series recommendations!

Well I was originally going to wait until my new blog layout was up until I started posting regularly, but I have absolutely no idea when it's going to be up, so I thought I should just start posting anyway. Right? Right. (Glad we're in agreement)

(Waiting on Wednesday is a meme designed to tell us what books we are looking forward to)

Thursday/ Friday/ Saturday:
Nothing definite planned, but in the future, Who Knows? :)

Also I will be doing a lot of memes having to do with Book Covers, such as US vs. UK, Lookalikes, Cover Craziness, and whatever else comes to mind. I guess you will have to stay tuned to find out exactly what I'm going to do. :)

And now bringing out the Big Guns... (Book Reviews!)
Of course I'll be doing book reviews, what kind of book blogger would I be if I didn't do book reviews? I'll try to right reviews for all the books I've read previous to this blog, but I can't do all of them because I won't remember everything that happened, and my initial thoughts after reading the book. Lucky for me (and you), I have written a lot of reviews on my Goodreads, so I'll just copy those into my reviews!
You are probably going to have to bare with me for the first few reviews though, they probably aren't going to be that good, or long, at least not till I get some practice!
